They say you never want to mess
with a country boy; well in this case it’s the “County
Boyz”. The County Boyz, which consists of four members
Freaky T, Bad Dreamz, CB, & Kid Kumup, were just typical
group teens hanging out before ever thinking about this
music game. Living in a small north Georgia town, it’s
easy to just get a factory job, a wife and have a few
kids and become complacent, these boys have big aspirations
that is bound to take way outside there local area codes.
Every member of the group is different. You have Freaky
T, the leader who hails from a background in dance. Raised
around the Atlanta club scene through out the 90’s,
he knows what it takes to get the party started. Always
a fan of hip hop, it wasn’t until he linked up with
fellow County boy Bad Dreamz that he realized what he
wanted to do with his life.
Then you have Bad Dreamz, a New
Orleans transplant who is ready to shake the world up
with he’s witty wordplay and tales from the hood.
Dreamz is no stranger to nightmares himself, right after
moving to GA from the N.O., he found himself in the hospital
after being shot 3 times. He’s a soldier with plenty
of stories to talk about, but at the same time he knows
how to get the party jumpin.
Vick aka Kid Kumup is the monster,
with a slick humorous wordplay; you would almost miss
the smooth vocal performance. Kumup is the double threat
in the group not afraid to show off his silky vocal delivery,
while he woos the ladies and still make the fellas bounce
all on the same track.
CB is the enforcer in the click,
with a delivery so flawless, it’s hard to believe
that this once talented football player is not already
crushing the game. Loyalty is big part of CB’s persona,
if it ain’t about the click it ain’t about
nothing. To CB this is just a hobby with his homeboys,
but with the right machine behind them, they can definitely
be a force to be reckoned with.
